HVAC ATTENUATORS

Air conditioning and ventilation systems generally employ centrifugal or axial flow fans to supply and exhaust air throughout buildings, such as multi-storey office blocks, laboratories or shopping centres. To achieve low ambient noise levels both internally and externally at a given resistance, duct silencers (with sound absorbing elements) are commonly used to reduce the fan noise and high duct velocities generated by the operating equipment. Square, Rectangular or Circular configurations are available with insertion loss reductions dictated by the length and closed area of the silencer.
